Logistician EBA
The logistician EBA ( French Logisticien AFP , Italian Addetto alla logistica CFP ) is a training occupation in Switzerland .
The training lasts two years and takes place at the same time in the training company , in the vocational school and in inter-company courses .
Occupational areas
The professional fields are distribution, warehouse and transport. See EFZ logistics specialist # professional fields .
EBA logisticians in all professional fields are instructed in operating industrial trucks.
predecessor
The forerunner of the logistics company EBA was the pilot project «practical vocational training in logistics» between 2004 and 2008, which ended with a cantonal apprenticeship card. Upon application, graduates receive the federal professional certificate “Logistician EBA”.
Another early name was logistics practitioner.

Course of training
Vocational school
The vocational school is attended one day a week and has the following content:
- Professional knowledge (basics of logistics, work processes, customer service)
- General knowledge
- Sports
Attending vocational secondary school is not possible.
Inter-company courses
The inter-company courses together make up a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 16 days of 8 hours of training.
Demarcation
The requirements for an EBA logistician are somewhat lower than those for the EFZ logistician and should therefore also offer weaker students an introduction to logistics.
In the vocational school, the subjects German, law and computer science are omitted.
There is also no recommendation for bilingual teaching in the regulations for vocational training.

The usual path is the training to become an EFZ logistician shortened to two years .
