Lohrhof is a living space within the boundaries of the Creglinger district Frauental in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Franconia dominated northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

geography

The farm is located about 800 meters northeast of the Creglingen district of Frauental near the boundary between Baden-Württemberg (town of Creglingen) and Bavaria (municipality of Simmershofen ).

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 777 and 779 as villa La (h) ra . In 814 there was another document mentioning it as Larehofen . The word component lar suggests an apartment. The Fulda monastery received in the 8th / 9th Century with other goods in Gollachgau also those in Lara . In 1119 Gumpen von Equarhofen donated goods in Lohrhof to the St. Stephan monastery in Würzburg . In 1264, the von Archshofen family owned the Frauental monastery . The rest of the place existed as an imperial fiefdom in the hands of Hohenlohe-Brauneck and was sold to the Frauental monastery in 1277 and made suitable to it by King Rudolf in 1284.

The place came as part of the formerly independent community Frauental on February 1, 1972 to the city of Creglingen.
