The Lohweiher , also called Waldsee , is a still water used as a bathing lake about 2 km northeast of the center of the Swabian town of Wemding in the Bavarian district of Donau-Ries on the edge of the southern Franconian Jura to the eastern Nördlinger Ries .

The lake is about 500 years old. It was renovated in 2017/2018.

There is a larger campsite to the northwest . Public bathing takes place from mid-May to mid-September. The lake has excellent water quality. Leisure options include rowing boat rentals and a water slide . A little further to the west are the limestone quarry Waldsee and the Bauernschanze .
