Locomotive 1414 (also Locomotive Fourteen Fourteen ) is a series of children's books by the Austrian author Friedrich Feld , published from 1948 onwards , which also appeared on radio play records in Germany from 1959 onwards.

The book Fourteen Fourteen Goes on Vacation was published in Germany ; it was illustrated by Rolf Rettich . A first radio play version of the locomotive 1414 on vacation was broadcast on Hessischer Rundfunk on children's radio as early as 1949 . Directed by Wilhelm Semmelroth .

In 2010, a second radio play version of the Hessischer Rundfunk, deviating from the original commercial publications, of locomotive 1414 goes on vacation in audio publishing on CD was also released . This dates from 1952. At the same time, Boje Verlag also re- published the book , which had been out of print for a long time, and spoke of a rediscovery of a classic children's book.
