The local railway Rakonitz – Bečov – Buchau (Czech: Místní dráha Rakovník – Bečov – Bochov ) was a private railway company in Austria and its successor state Czechoslovakia , whose routes were in northwestern Bohemia . She was the owner of by the Crown Land Bohemia guaranteed Lokalbahnen between Rakovník ( Rakovník ) Bečov nad Teplou ( Petschau ) and Bochov ( Buchau ). The seat of the company was in Prague.

history

On May 31, 1895, the gentlemen “ Dr. Emanuel Millner, large landowner in Luk, Josef Cermak, Mayor, and Eduard Rickard, City Councilor in Rakonitz, Franz Sandner, District Chairman and Franz Fassl, Mayor in Jechnitz, Wilhelm Rispler, Mayor and Dr. Fildelis Reiner, City Councilor in Buchau, Franz Braun, District Chairman, Anton Reissig, Mayor and Dr. Franz Zahn, city councilor in Luditz, Ernst Veit, notary in Petschau and Karl Porschitz, mayor in Theusing ... the right to build and operate a standard-gauge local train from the Rakonitz station on the Rakonitz-Protivin state railway line via Jechnitz to Pladen to connect to the state railway line Pilsen – Dux and from there via Protiwitz (Luditz) and Theusing to Beschau for connection to the projected railway line Marienbad – Karlsbad with a branch from Protiwitz (Luditz) to Buchau ” . The concessionaires were obliged to “start construction of the railway ... immediately and to complete it within a year and a half at the most and to hand over the finished railway to public transport ”. The concession period was 90 years. The state also reserved the right to redeem the licensed railway at any time.

The company's share capital totaled 3,046,600 crowns . 13,930 ordinary shares at 200 kroner each and 1,303 priority shares at 200 kroner each were issued.

The routes were opened on June 27, 1897 (Rakonitz – Luditz, Protiwitz – Buchau) and November 20, 1898 (Luditz – Petschau). The operation was carried out by the kk Austrian State Railways (kkStB) for the account of the local railway Rakonitz – Petschau – Buchau . After the First World War, the newly founded Czechoslovak State Railways ČSD took the place of the kkStB .

On January 1, 1925, the local railway Rakonitz – Petschau – Buchau was nationalized by law and the lines were integrated into the ČSD network. The routes still exist. (Status: 2019)

Locomotives

Two locomotives of the kkStB series 59 and a total of seven of the kkStB series 97 were procured for the account of the local railway Rakonitz – Petschau – Buchau . The locomotives had the road numbers 59.109–110 and 97.94–95, 135–136, 145, 194, 225.

The 97.194 (ČSD 310.093) has been preserved in the museum as an operational museum locomotive from the České Budějovice depot .
