Lokomotive Kreuzberg was a German political rock band. It was founded in Berlin at the beginning of 1972 , and the band was already working professionally at the turn of 1972/73. Until it was dissolved, the group, closely linked to the trade unions, played in changing line-ups and toured intensively through Germany, but had to give up at the end of 1977 for financial reasons.

In addition to the founding member Andreas Brauer (vocals, keyboard, violin, flute, guitar, percussion), lyricist Kalle Scherfling (vocals) as well as Volker Hiemann (vocals, guitar) and Uwe Holz (drums, vocals, harmonica, percussion), Uve Müllrich ( Guitar, bass; then bass with Embryo , 1979 founder of the band Dissidents ), later replaced by Bernhard Potschka , Manfred Praeker (from 1973) and Herwig Mitteregger (from 1976) part of the band. After Lokomotive Kreuzberg was dissolved, Mitteregger, Potschka and Praeker played in the Nina Hagen Band and later founded the successful German rock group Spliff .
