The Lom is a river in Cameroon .
course
The river is the eastern of the two headwaters of the Sanaga. It has its source on the southern edge of the Karré Mountains , in the Adamaoua region, in the immediate border area with the Central African Republic . It flows mainly in a south-westerly direction and forms the border between Cameroon and the westernmost end of the Central African Republic over a length of 5 km.
Lom Pangar Reservoir
It is located 120 km north of the city of Bertoua . It is located on a hydrological junction as it is only 4 km downstream from the confluence of the Pangar into the Lom and 13 km upstream from the junction of the Lom with the Djérem that form the Sanaga. In addition to generating energy, it plays a role in the flow control of the Sanaga.
Hydrometry
The flow rate of the river was measured in m³ / s at the Betare-Oya gauge in a good half of the catchment area.
