The Pangar is a river in Cameroon .
course
The Pangar is the main tributary of the Lom . The river has its sources at the foot of the Ngaou-Ndal massif. It initially flows south for 100 km. It turns east near the city of Mbitom . Since the construction of the Lom Pangar Reservoir , it flows into the same from here, depending on the water level. Before the construction of the reservoir, the Mboukou emptied about 35 km above the junction of the Pangar with the Lom. Today this depends on the water level in the reservoir.
Lom Pangar Reservoir
It is located 120 km north of the city of Bertoua . It is located on a hydrological junction as it is only 4 km downstream from the confluence of the Pangar into the Lom and 13 km upstream from the junction of the Lom with the Djérem that form the Sanaga . In addition to generating energy, it plays a role in the flow control of the Sanaga.
