Lommedalen is a town in the municipality of Bærum , Viken province in southern Norway .
Lommedalen lies in the valley of the river Lomme and is about 10 kilometers west of Oslo center. The rural village is a well-known winter sports area and has two golf clubs. The Lommedalsbanen , a narrow-gauge museum railway, has been preserved in the upper valley .
