London Blitz is a football team from England based in the athletics stadium in Finsbury Park , London .
history
The football team London Blitz was formed by merging the previous teams Ealing Eagles (1984-1994) and Woking Generals (1988-1993). In the 1997 season they played for the first time in the first British division. In 2006 they reached the Britbowl for the first time , but were subject to city rivals London Olympians there . A year later they moved back into the BritBowl and won their first national title. From 2009 to 2012 Blitz won four more championships in a row. From 2006 to 2017, London Blitz was represented in every Britbowl, making it the record holder with 12 finals in a row.
Internationally, the London Blitz competed for the first time in 2010, where they made it straight to the semi-finals of the EFAF Cup . A year later, they won the EFAF Cup 2011, their first European title. In the 2012 season they competed in the European Football League . As group winners in the preliminary round, they then failed in the quarter-finals to the Berlin Adler .
