Lone echo

Lone Echo is a virtual reality adventure designed by the US developer studio Ready at Dawn for the Oculus Rift . The computer game was released on July 20, 2017 together with the multiplayer mode Echo Arena , which is also available as a single game.

action

Lone Echo is set in the year 2126, the player controls an ECHO ONE android called "Jack" on the Kronos II station, which orbits Saturn . A mysterious space anomaly damages parts of the space station, and human crew member Olivia Rhodes works with Jack to repair the station and find the source of the anomaly. When a large part of the space station was destroyed and an alien, also damaged, spaceship appeared, Rhodes escaped to this station. Jack sets out to find her and has to repair the strange ship. An on-board AI gives him instructions on how to proceed.

Echo Arena

The multiplayer mode Echo Arena was developed at the same time as Lone Echo and published as a separate game. Echo Arena is part of Lone Echo , but also available separately. Until October 2017, Echo Arena was offered permanently free of charge in the Oculus store.

Echo Arena is a 3-on-3 sports simulation and is based on the movement mechanics of Lone Echo . The goal is to get a frisbee into the other team's goal in an arena. The players of the opposing team can be held or put out of action for a short time by a blow.

Even before its release, Lone Echo received the Game Critics Awards for the best VR game at E3 2017 .
