Longgang volcanic group

The Longgang volcanic group ( Chinese  龙岗 火山 群 , Pinyin Longgang huoshanqun , English Longgang volcanic cluster ) is a group of over 164 volcanic cones in the area of ​​the districts of Huinan (辉南 县), Jingyu (靖宇 县) and Fusong抚松县 in the south Jilin Province, China . It is the largest group of volcanoes in China. They are spread over an area of ​​1,700 square kilometers (approx. Length 126 °, latitude 42 °). The height of the volcanic cone is between 200 and 400 m. There are also eight maars, which are popularly known as Longwan 龙湾.

The volcanoes were formed in the late Pleistocene to mid- Miocene period.

Since 1992 they have been part of the Longwanqun Forest National Park (Longwanqun guojia senlin gongyuan (龙湾 群 国家 森林 公园) Longwanqun National Forest Park).
