Longgang (Huludao)

Longgang ( Chinese  龙港区 , Pinyin Lónggǎng Qū ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Huludao and forms the center of this city. Longang has an area of ​​138 km², about 150,000 inhabitants (as of 2001) and is located in the southwest of the northeast Chinese province of Liaoning .

The municipality is located on a headland on the Bohai Sea west of Jinzhou City . About a third of its area consists of forest and green spaces, which earned it a reputation as a garden city.

In terms of industry, there are chemical plants, shipyards and an important port. There is an oil - pipeline to Panjin .
