Look into the Future is the second studio album by the US AOR band Journey and was released in January 1976 on Columbia Records .

history

The album belongs to the early phase of the band, before a stylistic change took place with the entry of Steve Perry in 1978 and the band's success story began.

The album contains a cover version of the Beatles' It's All Too Much from the 1968 Yellow Submarine film. The tracks Anyway , It's All Too Much , On a Saturday Nite and You're on Your Own were re-released in 1979 on the album In the Beginning , I'm Gonna Leave You on the aforementioned album and also on the LP Time in 1992 .

reception

The album reached number 100 on the Billboard LP charts and stayed in the charts for 15 weeks. Stephen Thomas Erlewine from Allmusic called the album "a little too directionless to function as good jazz rock", but it was a marginal improvement over its predecessor. He awarded two out of five stars.

Cover versions of titles from this album by other artists cannot be found on any LP placed in the USA.
