Lord Methven

Lord Methven was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Scotland .

The title was bestowed on July 17, 1528 by King James V by letters patent to Henry Stewart , the second son of Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Avondale . With the childless death of his grandson, the 3rd Lord, around 1580 the title expired.

The family seat of the Lords was Methven Castle near Methven in Perthshire .
