Lorentz Højer Buchwaldt
Lorentz Høyer Buchwaldt also Højer (born December 7, 1841 in Viborg , Denmark , † December 14, 1933 in Lejre ) was governor of the Faroe Islands from 1884 to 1897 .
Lorentz was the son of Henriette, geb. Højer and SAM Buchwaldt from Viborg. He was married to Therese Augusta, geb. Petersen.
After graduating from high school in 1858, he took his legal exam in 1865. 1865–1878 he worked at the Danish Maritime and Commercial Court. In 1878 he went to the Faroe Islands as a judge (sorinskrivari) and took over the office of governor in 1884 (until 1897). As such, he was also chairman of the Løgting . Until 1904 he was public prosecutor in Lejre.
