Lorenz Wegscheider (born January 28, 1964 ) is a former German ski jumper .

Wegscheider started on December 30, 1980 for the first time in the opening competition of the Four Hills Tournament 1980/81 in the Ski Jumping World Cup . However, as in the following five years, he was unsuccessful. On February 23, 1985 he started ski flying in Harrachov for the first time outside of the tour and achieved a total of three World Cup points with 13th place. With these points he finished 66th place at the end of the 1984/85 season . In the following season he remained unsuccessful in the Four Hills Tournament and was only able to reach 13th place again on December 7, 1986 in Thunder Bay . In 1987 and 1988 he became German normal hill champions with the Bayern I team. In 1987 he also won the bronze medal in the individual jumping on the 90 m hill behind Dieter Thoma and Rolf Schilli . After the Four Hills Tournament in 1989/90 , which he finished in 89th place in the overall tournament ranking, he ended his active ski jumping career.
