The Loreto Chapel in Obermedlingen , a district of the municipality of Medlingen in the district of Dillingen an der Donau ( Bavaria ), was built in 1757. The chapel at Bergstrasse 14, northwest of the Obermedlingen monastery on the south side of the cemetery, is a protected architectural monument .

History and description

The Loreto Chapel is a single-nave, barrel-vaulted rectangular building with a gable turret with a Welsch dome and top. The year 1757 is inscribed in the upper panel of the southeast door.

The altar has a stage-like structure. He is attributed to Franz Karl Schwertle . The figure of St. Leonhard (around 1750/60) comes from Johann Michael Fischer .
