Lori Lieberman (* 15. November 1951 as Laurie Ann Lieberman in Los Angeles ) is an American singer.
Live and act
For years, Lori Lieberman was a popular folk singer in her home country. When they the song in the 1970s Empty Chairs of Don McLean heard she was very impressed by him. She told Norman Gimbel and Charles Fox , who then wrote Killing Me Softly with His Song . Lieberman never really got famous with Killing Me Softly , she was just the initiator of Roberta Flack's more successful version of the song.
