On March 10, 2013, during the game between FC Thun and FC Zürich , Benito was bitten by a stone marten that had found its way into the stadium, ran across the field and was finally caught by Benito. After it was bitten and let go of the marten, it was caught again by goalkeeper David Da Costa and handed over to the security staff, who released the animal on a meadow next to the stadium. The game itself was interrupted for a period of 30 minutes and ended in a 4-0 victory for FC Zurich.
