Los Saicos was a Peruvian garage rock band , founded in Lima in 1964 by four young amateur musicians: Erwin Flores (guitar and vocals), Rolando "El Chino" Carpio (solo guitar), César "Papi" Castrillón (bass) and Pancho Guevara (drums). They were an influential Latin American rock band in the 1960s. In 1965 and 1966 six singles were released. All titles were original compositions by Erwin Flores and Rolando Carpio. Except for one they released all singles on the small label "Dis Perú".

Your hymn "Demolición" was one of the greatest radio hits in Peru at the time. In 1965 Los Saicos had their own television show. At the end of 1965 the group decided to stop making music.

Rolando Carpio died in spring 2005, two “Saicos” emigrated to the USA, and drummer Pancho Guevara stayed in Lima until his death in December 2015.
