Losoul

Losoul (alternatively: LoSoul ; * 1971 in Cologne as Peter Kremeier ) is a German DJ and musician of electronic music .

He has also published under the pseudonyms Silhouétte Eléctronique , Don Disco , LoMotion , Nuclear , Projam and Project Remark .

In his youth he discovered his passion for disco , soul , jazz and classical music , as well as through his friends the path to hip-hop and techno . After moving to the Rhein-Main area in 1989, he came into contact with the musical styles of punk , EBM and industrial . In 1992 he got further impressions from the Omen and Dorian Gray discos in Frankfurt am Main and thus found a stronger connection to the club music of the time.

He started his career in 1994 in his hometown of Cologne. Carl Craig and Ata became aware of him through the establishment of their own sound system with friends in Wiesbaden and the organization of parties in the local scene . He released his first record under the then synonym Don Disco . After the rejection of the first demo tape, Losoul applied again to the Playhouse label with the Maxi Open Door and thus received a record deal. With this piece he was able to land a worldwide club hit, which quickly became a classics in the house scene.

In 2000 he released his first album under the name Belong . With this album, Kremeier combines his roots in funk in combination with technoid dance music. He released his second album in 2004 under the title Getting Even , as well as other maxis such as Don't Play my Story or Lies .

Kremeier lives in Frankfurt am Main .
