The Lost Valley (English for Lost Valley ) is a valley near the east coast of James Ross Island in the Antarctic Weddell Sea . It is north of Gin Cove and west of Patalamon Mesa .
The British Antarctic Survey carried out geological studies here between 1981 and 1983. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the valley in 1984 based on the name of the Hidden Lake .
