Lothar Hirsch

Lothar Hirsch (born December 17, 1943 in Eschweiler ) is a former German middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .

In 1970 he was third at the German Indoor Championships and won bronze in the mixed relay with the German team at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Vienna .

He set his best time of 1: 47.9 minutes on June 9, 1971 in Koblenz .

Lothar Hirsch started for Rot-Weiß Koblenz. After studying sport and English at the University of Mainz , the qualified sports teacher initially worked in school and then switched to the German Athletics Association , where he held various positions as a national trainer.
