Lothar Knörzer

Lothar Knörzer (born August 4, 1933 in Karlsruhe ) is a former German athlete who won the bronze medal in the 4 x 100 meter run with the German relay team at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne (40.3 s; together with Leonhard Pohl , Heinz Fütterer and Manfred Germar ; Lothar Knörzer as starting runner). He competed in a joint German team for the Federal Republic of Germany at these Olympic Games.

For this achievement he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on January 21, 1957.

Lothar Knörzer belonged to the Karlsruher SC . In his playing days he was 1.72 m tall and weighed 58 kg.
