Jobst Hirscht

Jobst Hirscht (* 19th July 1948 in Schleswig ) was a German athlete , who at the Olympics in 1972 in Munich with the season of the Federal Republic the bronze medal in the 4 x 100-meter relay -Lauf won (38.79 s ; together with Karlheinz Klotz , Gerhard Wucherer and Klaus Ehl , Jobst Hirscht as starting runner). Walter Oberste was the coach of this season. In the 100-meter individual race of these games, he finished sixth (10.40 s).

For winning the bronze medal at the 1972 Olympic Games, he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on September 11, 1972, together with the relay team.

Hirscht then worked as a sports teacher for the Hamburg police until 2006. He became police chief inspector .

Jobst Hirscht belonged to the SV Hamburg Police . In his playing days he weighed 65 kg and was 1.74 m tall.
