Klaus Ehl

Klaus Ehl (born August 16, 1949 in Paderborn ) is a former German athlete .

He started for the Federal Republic of Germany at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich with the 4 x 100 meter relay , where he won the bronze medal (38.79 s; together with Jobst Hirscht , Karlheinz Klotz and Gerhard Wucherer ; Klaus Ehl as Final runner). In the same games he also took part in the 100-meter run , but was eliminated in the preliminary run.

For winning the bronze medal at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, he and the members of the 4 x 100 meter relay received the silver laurel leaf on September 11, 1972.

In 1973 and 1974 Ehl was German indoor champion with the 4 x 400 meter relay .

He also started at the European Championships in 1974 (4-by-100-meter relay and 100-meter run) and at the 1976 Olympic Games (4-by-100-meter relay), but without reaching the finals.

Klaus Ehl belongs to the TV Wattenscheid . In his playing days he was 1.88 m tall and weighed 80 kg. Ehl lives in Wattenscheid , is married, has two children and taught sports and art at the Märkisches Gymnasium Wattenscheid. He retired in 2015.
