Karlheinz Klotz

Karlheinz Klotz (born March 10, 1950 in Neureut (Karlsruhe) ) is a former German athlete who won the bronze medal in the 4 x 100 meter run with the relay of the Federal Republic of Germany at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich (38.79 s; together with Jobst Hirscht , Gerhard Wucherer and Klaus Ehl , Karlheinz Klotz as second runner).

For winning the bronze medal at the 1972 Olympic Games, he received the silver laurel leaf on September 11, 1972 - together with the other members of the relay .

Karlheinz Klotz also started at the European Championships in 1971 . In the 100-meter run , he was eliminated in the intermediate run . In the 100-meter relay race, the baton was lost when he and Gerhard Wucherer switched, and the relay of the Federal Republic was eliminated.

Karlheinz Klotz belonged to the TUS Neureut . In his playing days he was 1.87 m tall and weighed 77 kg.
