Lothar Loewer

Lothar Löwer (born September 10, 1951 ) is a former German football referee . He whistled for TSC Eintracht Dortmund .

Career

Löwer led games in the 2nd Bundesliga from 1986 . Two years later he was promoted to the Bundesliga and worked until 1993. His first Bundesliga game was the encounter between 1. FC Nürnberg and Waldhof Mannheim on August 20, 1988. Löwer headed a total of 42 Bundesliga games, 43 second division games and five DFB Cup games . There are also three appearances in the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga. Internationally, Löwer was used as a line judge in three European Cup games and two internationals . He described his high point as a line judge in the semifinals of the European Cup in 1988/89 between Red Star Belgrade and AC Milan . After his career as a referee, he moved to Nuremberg , where he worked as a sales manager for a car dealership.
