Lothar Rubin (life dates unknown) was a German football player .

Career

Rubin belonged to VfB Leipzig as a midfielder , for whom he played point games from 1909 to 1911 in the championships organized by the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs in the Gau North-West Saxony , the regional top division . During this time he won the championship in the Northwest Saxony region twice and the Central German championship twice.

In the north-west Saxony region, which is divided into two groups, he and his team emerged victorious in Group A , which consisted of five teams , and won the final of the North-West Saxon Championship on February 20, 1910 with 2-1 against BV Olympia 1896 Leipzig , the Winner of Group B. The subsequent final round of the Central German Championship also went smoothly; with a bye, he moved with the team into the first intermediate round, in which on March 13, 1910 in Plauen Germania Mittweida was defeated 4-2. With the 4-1 victory on March 20, 1910 at FC Wacker Halle , he and the team moved into the final. The final on April 3, 1910 in Leipzig was won 4-1 against SC Erfurt . His debut in the final round of the German championship was the quarter-final meeting on April 17, 1910 with the defending champion FC Phoenix Karlsruhe , which was lost 2-1.

The 1910/11 season was again completed as the first of eight participating teams in the first single-track district of Northwest Saxony. All games in the final round of the Central German Championship were won, including the final, which was won 3-1 against FC Wacker Halle on April 2, 1911 in Leipzig .
