Lotte Schreiber (born August 20, 1971 in Mürzzuschlag ) is an Austrian filmmaker and artist , lives and works in Vienna .

life and work

She studied architecture at TU Graz . Architecture and landscape also play an important role in Lotte Schreiber's films and videos. Due to their experimental approach, their works can be understood as art films. Lotte Schreiber received the State Scholarship for Video and Media Art in 2017, the Diagonale Prize for Innovative Cinema Graz / A (with Sasha Pirker) in 2015 and the 2013 Award for Best Short Film, Edinburgh International Film Festival / UK. Her film works are regularly at national and international film festivals, for example Viennale / A., IFFR Internat. Film Festival Rotterdam / NL. Lotte Schreiber curates the program section "Architecture and Society" at the Crossing Europe 2019 film festival in Linz.
