Lou Hamou-Lhadj

Lou Hamou-Lhadj (* 20th century ) is an American animator who is also responsible for the visual effects .

Career

Hamou-Lhadj attended the Tisch School of the Arts , where he met his future friend and work colleague Andrew Coats . His film career began at Pixar , with the film WALL · E - The last one cleans up the earth , when he was responsible for creating the characters in 2008. Other projects followed, including the Oscar-winning animated films Toy Story 3 and Merida - Legend of the Highlands , as well as the animated film Arlo & Spot , which was awarded a Golden Globe , was also responsible for the characters.

With his colleague Andrew Coats, the short film Borrowed Time was created within five years without any support from their company Pixar . It was published free of charge on the Vimeo platform . For this short film, he received a nomination in the category of best animated short film at the 2017 Academy Awards . However, the award went to Alan Barillaro and Marc Sondheimer for their contribution to Piper .
