Louis-Claude Fillion

Louis-Claude Fillion (born June 25, 1843 in Saint-Bonnet-de-Joux in the Saône-et-Loire department , France ; † October 12, 1927 in Issy in the Hauts-de-Seine department , France) was a French Roman Catholic priest , theologian and writer .

Life

Louis-Claude Fillion received the in 1867 ordination and joined the Congregation of the Sulpician at. He became professor of Biblical Exegesis and Hebrew in the seminaries of Reims and Lyon. He later became a member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission .

He became famous for his exegetical works on the Holy Land .
