Louis Alexandre de Cessari

Louis Alexandre de Cessari (* 1719 in Paris , † 1806 ) was a French engineer .

Cessari served in the royal gendarmerie in Flanders during the War of the Austrian Succession and particularly distinguished himself in the battles at Fontenoy and Roucoux . He later entered the École nationale des ponts et chaussées and in 1751 was appointed engineer of the Tours generals . Cessari was transferred to Rouen in 1775 and in 1781 was given the management of the hydraulic works at Cherbourg , which were extremely difficult.

The Cessari estate was published under the title Description des travaux hydrauliques de Cessari . 2 vols. Paris 1806-1809.
