Louis Becker

Louis Becker (* 1962 ) is a Danish architect and the 'International Design Director' of Henning Larsen Architects . Louis Becker joined Henning Larsen Architects in 1989 and is responsible for international design projects outside Scandinavia , especially in German-speaking countries. He was jointly responsible for the new "Spiegel Headquarters" in Hamburg and is jointly responsible for the newly emerging Siemens Headquarters in Munich.

He has been part of the management team since 1998 and has been a partner since 2003. Louis Becker has extensive international experience, particularly with cultural and commercial buildings and master plans . He is responsible for proposals for architecture competitions as well as the architecture and management follow-up in the subsequent design. He plays a leading role in complex architecture and collaboration processes that involve many people. His extensive experience with modern, sustainable building , both conceptually and in detail, have made him a sought-after international lecturer. He frequently gives lectures on sustainable architecture and cultural architectural encounters. He was a reviewer in several international competitions and is a member of a number of leading groups and advisory boards.

In 2008 he was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Design at Ålborg Universitetscenter . In 2011 he was awarded the Eckersberg Medal by the Academic Board, Royal Danish Academy of Art , in recognition of his achievements in promoting Danish architecture to the world.
