Louis Pécour , actually Louis-Guillaume Pécourt (born August 10, 1653 in Paris , † April 22, 1729 in Paris) was a French dancer and choreographer .

Pécour was a student of Pierre Beauchamp . He made his debut in 1671 in the ballet Psyché by Jean-Baptiste Molière and Jean-Baptiste Lully . In 1687, succeeding his teacher, he was appointed "Compositeur des ballets de l'Académie royale de Musique". In addition to the opera and the royal court, he also worked for the Jesuit college Louis-le-Grand . The choreographer Raoul-Auger Feuillet , who published around 120 choreographies by Pécour, described him as the role model for the most perfect dancers ("le modèle des plus parfaits danseurs").
