Louis Rühl

Louis Rühl (born February 15, 1871 in Worms ; † in the 20th century) was a German brewery entrepreneur and director of the Eichbaum-Werger breweries in Worms and Mannheim.

Life

Born the son of the owner of the brewery zum Elefanten in Worms, Rühl attended secondary school in his home town of Worms and completed technical and commercial training in his parents' company. In 1893 he took over its management and was sole director until 1920 after the conversion into a stock corporation. The company later became part of the Werger brewery in Worms. Rühl became a member of the supervisory board and consultant of the Werger brewery and in 1923 group manager and board member of the Werger brewery and the Mannheimer Eichbaum brewery, which merged into a joint company in 1929.

Rühl was a member of the Hessian Chamber of Commerce in Worms, chairman of the supervisory board of the canning factory Joh.Braun (Pfeddersheim), member of the supervisory board of the Frankenthaler Brauhaus (Frankenthal), the Saarlouis stock brewery, the Hessische und Herkulesbierbrauerei AG in Kassel, the Hirsch brewery in Cologne, the Adler-Brauerei Köln AG, the Hoefel-Brauerei AG in Düsseldorf, the brewery Gebr. Hensen GmbH in Mönchengladbach and the Schlossbrauerei in Berlin-Schöneberg .
