Love Equals Death is a punk rock band formed in 2003 in San Francisco , California . According to the company, the band was born on Halloween evening.

history

The band from Petaluma in the San Francisco Bay Area plays varied melodic punk rock. Chon Travis was previously a member of the band "Loose Change", Dominic Davi founded Tsunami Bomb . John Rosser and Tonio Garcia-Romero came from the band “26 MPH” to “Love Equals Death”.

After the founding, the first EP, 4 Notes on a Dying Scale, was released in early 2004. Shortly thereafter, Rosser left the band and Justin “Duffs” Levine took his place on guitar. The group starred in shows with TSOL , Avenged Sevenfold and the Distillers . "Fat Wrecks" label boss Fat Mike (bassist of " NOFX ") was in the audience at one of the events . He quickly became convinced of the qualities of the group and decided to work with them.

In August 2005 the EP The Hucklebuck came out on their old label Pop Smear Records. On the way the band was in the support act of label mates No Use for a Name , the Suicide Machines and Pennywise . They also worked on their debut album, which was released in March 2006 under the title Nightmerica . It's an interesting mix of Billy Idol and old school punk rock.
