Love You Inside Out is a 1979 Bee Gees song , written by Barry , Robin and Maurice Gibb the previous year, and appeared on the album Spirits Having Flown . Albhy Galuten, Karl Richardson, Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb produced the song.

history

The song is a funky disco number . During the recording, the Gibb brothers allegedly played a prank on their manager Robert Stigwood and sent him a recording with a different text. One line read there: "backwards and forwards with my cock hanging out" (German: back and forth as my cock swings) to see whether it also controls their work. In the published version, the line is called "backwards and forwards with my heart hanging out" (German: back and forth as my heart beats).

Released on April 20, 1979, Love You Inside Out became a number one hit in the United States and Canada . It was the sixth consecutive number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 , previously achieved by the Beatles . Billboard voted Love You Inside Out best song on Spirits Having Flown .
