history

2014: Debut with Girls' Invasion

In October 2014 Woollim Entertainment announced the formation of a new girl group. Baby Soul, Jin, Minjoo and Jiae were named as the first members. All four had previously released solo projects and worked with the boy band Infinite , which is also under contract with Woollim Entertainment.

On November 10, Lovelyz released the pre-release single Good Night Like Yesterday . On November 12th, all eight members were finally introduced and the next day the group performed for the first time at the music show "M Countdown". On November 17th, the debut single Candy Jelly Love was released along with the album Girls' Invasion .

Shortly before the group's debut, it was announced that Jisoo would not take part in the group activities for the time being for personal reasons. Reasons for Jisoo's time off were, among other allegations, rumors about her sexual orientation and sexual harassment that she had committed. The allegations were later proven false, but police investigations continued, so Jisoo wasn't able to end her break until 2015.

2018: Heal and Muse on Music

On April 23, 2018, the fourth mini-album Heal was released together with the single That Day ( 그날 의 너 ) .
