Lowenda Brewery Company Lda is a brewery in Angola . It was in the 2014 Special Economic Zone of Viana , near the Angolan capital Luanda built. The US $ 180 million investment was financed by the China Investment Fund (CIF). The name refers to the nearby capital Luanda.
The brewery was inaugurated on October 9, 2014 in the presence of the Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos . The machines were delivered from Germany , from where the brewer's yeast is obtained. The other ingredients for the beer come from the Czech Republic and Australia . 250 Angolans and 170 expatriates work in the factory, which has an annual capacity of 400,000 hectoliters of beer.
In May 2015, the Bela brand beer hit the Angolan market for the first time. It is mainly sold in supermarkets and shopping centers.
