Luís Mendes Ribeiro

Luís Mendes Ribeiro (born July 23, 1978 in Luro , East Timor ) is a politician from East Timor. He is a member of the Partido Democrático (PD).

Career

In the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2017 , Ribeiro ran for 13th place on the PD party list, but failed because the PD only won seven seats in the East Timor’s national parliament . But since members of the government have to give up their seats in parliament and other elected members did not take office, Ribeiro moved up as a member of parliament.

In the 2018 parliamentary elections , Ribeiro ran for 11th place on the PD's list, but this time the PD received only five seats and none of those elected waived their seat.
