Luciana "Lu" Andrade (born September 18, 1978 in Varginha ) is a Brazilian singer , songwriter , presenter and actress .

In 2015 Andrade founded the Duo Elétrico together with the guitarist Ciro Visconti , played several cover versions of rock bands and was a singer with the band Aries . In 2016 she worked as a singing teacher at the Souza Lima Conservatory .

biography

Luciana Andrade is the daughter of Walter Andrade and Clair Andrade. From 1999 she studied music at the Souza Lima Conservatory in São Paulo. In 2001 she took part in a pop stars talent show. In the same year the first studio album was released, the homonym Rouge, of which 2 million copies were sold.

In 2003 the group released the second album "C'est La Vie", of which around 1 million copies were sold. In December 2003 another DVD was released with the title "The Feast of Your Dreams". In 2004, Luciana left the group because of a disagreement about the group's sound and the too many shows that tired her and affected her personal life. Another reason were differences between the group and the producer about the share of profits.

2004 to 2010, television and theater

In 2004 she had a guest appearance on the album Trova di Danú by the folk band Tuatha de Danann. In 2005 she went back to São Paulo to continue studying and working with other artists. There were albums with Sangueaudiência , Stand By the Dance , and Forgotten Boys. In 2006 she joined Sérgio Britto's band and toured Brazil with the band. She was also a background singer on the tour of the American Eric Silver. From 2007, Luciana Andrade had a job as a reporter for the program Show Total of the subscription channel TVA.

On May 25, 2007, her first tour entitled "Luciana Andrade Pocket Show" premiered at the Souza Lima Conservatory in São Paulo. The show was completely acoustic, with only Luciana Andrade on stage; the program consisted of cover versions of other artists like Skank , Kid Abelha and Lulu Santos , as well as own songs like "Another Story", "Always" and "Von Longe". However, one album was never released. In 2010, Luciana Andrade appeared in the theater as an actress in Into The Woods , directed by Armando Bravi's son and Felipe Senna. The piece is a Brazilian version of the Broadway musical Cinderella .

2010 to date: musical publications and the Internet

On November 21, 2010, Luciana Andrade digitally published a play on her social network: "So Different", "From Far", "The Haunted House" and "Another Story", plus a version of "De Longe" as a bonus. In the same year she recorded the jingle of the series Julie and the Ghosts of the Network Bandeirantes , which was to be part of the soundtrack released the next year. In December 2012 Luciana Andrade released the singles Mind & Heart and in May 2014 Amanheceu .
