Lu Jun

Lu Jun (born March 19, 1959 ) is a former Chinese football referee .

Jun led two games at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea , making him the first Chinese referee at a World Cup. Previously, he oversaw one game at the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup , two games at the 1997 U-17 World Cup, two games at the 1991 Women's World Cup , five games at the 1999 U-20 World Cup and two games the 2000 Summer Olympics . He also played in two preliminary round matches at the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Asian soccer championships .

In 2005 he ended his career after over 200 top division games. In March 2010 it was announced that he was suspected in a betting scandal of postponing games against payment. If convicted, he would face the death penalty . A year later it was said that he had influenced the 2003 game between Shanghai International and Shanghai Shenhua.
