Lubbert Morrien (* in the 15th century; † in the 15th or 16th century) was Drost of the Werne office and canon in Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Lubbert Morrien came from the Westphalian noble family Morrien , who were one of the leading families in the knighthood in the Middle Ages and early modern times and held the office of Hereditary Marshal in the Prince Diocese of Münster from 1350 to 1691 . He was born the son of Hereditary Marshal Gerhard Morrien (builder of the first Nordkirchen Castle ) and his wife Ida von Bevern . She was an heir and so the Morrien family came into the possession of Westbevern . Lubbert's brother Gerhard was hereditary marshal and canon in Münster .

Act

On December 5, 1478, Lubbert took over the post of Drosten zu Werne, which his predecessor Dietrich Wolf von Füchteln had given up . For this he paid 1700 Rhenish gold guilders. His brother Gerhard held the post of Drosten zu Werne from 1444 to 1446. On February 12, 1487 Lubbert became canon in Münster. There is no information about his further life.
