Luc Devillers

Luc Devillers OP (born September 5, 1954 in Paris ) is a Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

On October 1, 1977, he entered the Dominican novitiate (Toulouse Province). He was ordained a priest on June 25, 1983 . He obtained the Baccalauréat canonique in theology Sam Institut Catholique de Toulouse (1983) and the doctorate in the Holy Scriptures (2002) - thesis defended on May 7, 2001 at the École biblique et archéologique française de Jérusalem . From 1986 to 2008 he held Bible meetings and spiritual exercises. From 1986 to 1995 he was a teacher at the Dominican monastery and at the Bordeaux Interdiocesan Seminary . From 1995 to 2008 he was a lecturer (2003-2008: associate professor) at the École biblique et archéologique française de Jérusalem. In October 2008 he was an expert for the Synod of Bishops on The Word of God in the life and mission of the Church . Since 2009 he has been Professor of Exegesis and Theology of the New Testament at the University of Friborg . He is a member of ACFEB and SNTS .
