Luca Di Fulvio

Luca Di Fulvio (born May 13, 1957 in Rome ) is an Italian writer .

Life

Di Fulvio studied dramaturgy at the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico in Rome under Andrea Camilleri . He was then a member of The Living Theater for six months , where he was able to work in London with Paola Borboni , Sergio Graziani , Mario Maranzana , Andrzej Wajda and Julian Beck .

Since 1996 Di Fulvio has also worked as a writer. Some of his novels were also published in German. In 2008 he published the novel La gang dei sogni , which has also been available in German since 2011 under the title The Boy Who Gave Dreams . In the novel, he not only addresses violence against women, but also deals with the life of the emigrants in New York City in the 1920s, whereby, according to his own statement, he was based closely on Martin Scorsese's epic Gangs of New York .
