Mario Maranzana
Mario Maranzana (born July 14, 1930 in Trieste , † January 11, 2012 in Rome ) was an Italian actor .
Life
Maranzani made his debut on the stage next to Vittorio Gassman in Sophocles -Stück King Oedipus . At the theater he worked under Giorgio Strehler and Luchino Visconti ; he remained loyal to the medium throughout his life. With the beginning of the 1960s he was also seen on television; In a long-running series of television films about Inspector Maigret , he was cast nine times as "Inspector Lucas". He also played important supporting roles in film; however, hardly any films were of outstanding importance. He was also employed as a voice actor.
In 2006 Maranzana was awarded the Cavaliere di gran croce of his homeland.
