Lucas Rougeaux (born March 10, 1994 in Grasse ) is a French football player .

Club career

Rougeaux, who grew up near Nice , played in his youth first for a club from Valbonne and then in his native Grasse. From there he moved to the training center of the professional club OGC Nice in 2008 . There he made the leap to the reserve team for the first time in 2011 at the age of 17, for which he competed in the fifth division. In the 2012/13 season he played for them regularly and became team captain. In February 2013 he was also appointed to the squad of the first division team for the first time, even if he was not used. He made his first division and thus his professional debut when he was substituted on on May 12, 2013 at the age of 19 at 0: 4 against FC Évian Thonon Gaillard in the 82nd minute. In the following 2013/14 season, however, he was not considered for the first team at all.

In the summer of 2014 he was awarded to the third division club Étoile Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël and received regular match practice there. His return to Nice in the run-up to the 2015/16 season was short-lived, however, as he was loaned to US Boulogne and thus to another third-class club. In 2016 he moved from Nice to the Belgian first division club KV Kortrijk .

National team

Rougeaux played his first game for the French U-18s when he was on the field on May 22, 2012 in a 3-0 win against Switzerland. Two days later he was again on the field for the selection, but moved up to the U-19 after the summer break in 2012 . After his debut in September, Rougeaux regularly took part in international matches for the U-19s and made it to the U-20s in 2013. For this he played three games, but was then not considered for selection teams.
