François Kevorkian
François Kevorkian (born January 10, 1954 in Rodez ) is a French DJ and music producer . He shaped New York house music from the start.
Growing up in France, he practiced drums at a young age . In 1975 he came to New York City to start a music career. Appearances as a DJ in the disco scene proved to be more lucrative . Soon he was DJing in the Paradise Garage as well as in Studio 54 . He produced remixes and medleys for popular titles in his own recording studio. From 1990 his gigs were worldwide, he then put on house and techno . In 1995 he founded his own dance label Wave Music .
